The Sultanate of Oman is showcasing its food manufacturing capabilities at SIAL Paris 2026 in France through a national pavilion featuring a diverse array of local products. The event, held this month, highlights Omani companies’ ability to compete in global markets and expand their international reach.

The pavilion displays a broad spectrum of the country’s food production, including vegetable oils and derivatives, canned seafood, dates and date-based products, as well as tahini. This collection reflects the depth and variety of Oman’s food industry.

Khalid al Salehi, Director General of Marketing and Commercial Affairs and Official Spokesperson for Madayn, emphasized that the participation offers a strategic platform to bolster the position of Omani food products internationally. He noted that the national pavilion allows companies to engage directly with buyers, distributors, and food industry experts, facilitating export opportunities, trade partnerships, and entry into European and other overseas markets.

Oman’s debut at the exhibition brings together seven food manufacturing companies alongside four government entities under a pavilion managed by the Oman Export Development and Investment Promotion Company (OPEX). According to al Salehi, this collaboration demonstrates a coordinated effort to promote local products and attract new investments into the food manufacturing sector.

He also highlighted that the event serves as a valuable opportunity for participating companies to gain insights into the latest trends and advancements in food processing, manufacturing, and packaging technologies.

The Sultanate’s involvement at SIAL Paris 2026 underscores ongoing cooperation between public and private sectors aimed at supporting food exports and elevating the profile of Oman’s production capacity, manufacturing expertise, and competitiveness in international markets.
