The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the second International Social Responsibility Forum held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The two-day event, which began on Monday, centers on the theme “From Commitment to Impact” and gathers representatives from across the globe to share best practices and explore ways to advance social responsibility initiatives.

Oman’s delegation is led by Dr. Laila bint Ahmed al Najjar, Minister of Social Development, who took part in a ministerial session focused on promoting social responsibility at the global level. During her intervention, Dr. Laila highlighted the ongoing development of social responsibility efforts within Oman, noting increased awareness and engagement by both public and private sectors in supporting and amplifying social initiatives.

The forum addresses a range of topics including the role of social responsibility in advancing education, development, and sustainability. Sessions emphasize the importance of fostering cross-sector partnerships involving government entities, private businesses, and non-profit organizations. Participants also discussed leveraging digital transformation and artificial intelligence to enhance the impact of social responsibility efforts worldwide.

Dr. Laila stressed the need for greater integration and collaboration across different sectors, aligning social responsibility programs with national development priorities. She called for institutionalizing social responsibility frameworks, ensuring the sustainability of initiatives, and implementing effective impact measurement tools. Additionally, she encouraged companies to adopt sustainable practices that contribute to broader national progress.

The event aims to strengthen the role of social responsibility as a strategic tool for sustainable development and improved societal outcomes, reflecting a growing international commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
