The Sultanate of Oman has secured re-election to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child for the 2027-2031 term. The election occurred during the 21st Meeting of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

This marks Oman’s second consecutive term on the committee, highlighting its notable presence and influence in international child rights matters. The extended membership is expected to facilitate greater collaboration between Oman and other committee members in advancing the global protection and promotion of children’s rights.
