The Sultanate of Oman received 11 awards at the fourth edition of the Gulf Smart Investor Award, an event organised by the securities market regulatory authorities of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states. The award ceremony took place in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The competition drew significant participation, with more than 300,000 submissions from across the GCC. It featured four primary categories—writing, photography, drawing, and video production—targeting three groups: school students, university students, and individual participants.

Omani participants achieved recognition across all four categories. In the writing competition, Rawd al Farsi secured first place in the school category. Duja al Ma’ani earned third place in the university category, while in the individuals category, Sarah al Kalbani and Sajiya al Ismaili won first and second places respectively.

In photography, Tasneem al Sabahi claimed first place and Al Yaqeen al Salmi took third place in the school division. Mawada al Salmani won first place in the university group, and Alia al Abri received first place in the individuals category.

The drawing segment saw Mariya al Sudairi attain first place in the university category. Meanwhile, in the video production category, Salim al Yaqoubi achieved first place and Zaha al Masoudi placed fourth among school students.

The Gulf Smart Investor Award is part of broader GCC efforts to promote financial and investment knowledge and literacy throughout the region. The event aims to engage young people and individuals in creative projects that increase awareness of smart investment practices.
