The Sultanate of Oman’s Al Dan Theatre Troupe for Culture and Art is set to participate in the 8th Ostrovsky Festival, scheduled to take place in Kineshma, Russia, from August 18 to 23. During the festival, the troupe will present a drama titled "A Bite of Bread," written by Omani playwright Mohammed bin Said al Rawahi.

Mohammed bin Salim al Nabhani, head of the Al Dan Theatre Troupe, described the participation as the result of extensive planning and international collaboration. He emphasized that the troupe’s involvement aims to foster cultural dialogue and share Omani artistic experiences on a global stage.

Scenographer Mahmoud bin Salim al Makhroumi highlighted that representing Oman at this international event is part of a broader commitment to promote the advancing state of Omani theatre. He also noted the significance of showcasing the expanding cultural cooperation between Oman and Russia.

The appearance of Al Dan at the Ostrovsky Festival underscores Oman’s efforts to engage with the international arts community and to present its national heritage through performance arts. The festival, held annually in Russia, gathers theatre troupes from various countries, offering a platform for cultural exchange and artistic collaboration.
