Omni Man, trained by Joseph O’Brien, is set to contest a handicap race at Royal Ascot, with the potential to return to winning form after a period of mixed results. The gelding, who secured a notable victory last July in a mile-and-a-half handicap at Glorious Goodwood, has not won since but appears to be progressing well in preparation for this summer’s high-profile meeting.

Following a 205-day break over the winter during which he was gelded, Omni Man reappeared in the Group 3 Alleged Stakes at the Curragh, running over a mile and a quarter. In that race, he finished fourth behind Starford, showing some competitiveness but failing to challenge the leaders. A subsequent drop in distance to one mile did not prove fruitful, as he finished last of eight runners behind Catalina Delcarpio in what was his first attempt at the shorter trip since April 2025.

For Royal Ascot, Omni Man steps back up to a mile and a half, the distance at which he previously achieved success. He returns to handicap company carrying a mark 8 pounds higher than when he won at Goodwood, but his rider, Dylan Browne McMonagle, and connections are hopeful the horse will display his best form.

The race itself is open, attracting several contenders with winning potential. Among them are Warrant Holder, regarded as a promising runner, along with Hopewell Rock and Nightime Dancer, who also possess credentials worth noting.

Omni Man’s recent physical adjustments and race conditions suggest he is primed to perform well, with Royal Ascot providing an opportunity for the gelding to regain winning momentum under favorable conditions.
