Orioles starter Trevor Rogers allowed two runs and recorded a season-high nine strikeouts over six-plus innings before being removed after allowing a leadoff single in the seventh. Reliever Alex Hoppe took over and gave up a pinch-hit RBI single to the Angels’ Matt Meckler, cutting Baltimore’s lead to 3-2. Yennier Canó pitched the eighth inning, followed by Andrew Kittredge, who secured his fifth save with a scoreless ninth.

The offensive surge for Baltimore began in the fourth inning when Angels starter Reid Detmers walked Gunnar Henderson with one out. O’Neill then launched a fastball over the left-field fence for his ninth home run of the season and second in as many days. Mayo promptly followed with a towering homer to the same area, estimated at 436 feet, putting the Orioles ahead 3-0.
