KUWAIT CITY — The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN), in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, conducted an inspection campaign targeting food establishments in the Hawally area on October 3. The initiative aimed to enhance food safety and regulatory compliance across the sector.

According to an official statement from PAFN, the campaign resulted in the issuance of 28 violation citations against various establishments. Inspectors confiscated and destroyed a total of 146.142 kilograms of food products deemed unsafe due to adulteration and unclear origins. Additionally, the kitchen of one establishment was closed as a result of the findings.

The violations cited during the campaign primarily related to non-compliance with health and technical standards, operating without valid licenses or certified health certificates, and the mishandling of food products. These measures reflect ongoing efforts by Kuwaiti authorities to strengthen oversight and protect public health in the food supply chain.
