Two men, identified as Afghan nationals Khan Agah and Noorullah Ahmdzai, have been convicted of raping a woman at knifepoint in Barking Park, East London. The incident occurred on the night of August 16 last year, according to a court summary.

The victim was on a date in the park around 11 p.m. when the attackers approached her and her companion. The men reportedly told the woman they "just wanted to have some fun with her" before forcibly restraining her. During the assault, Ahmdzai, 26, raped the woman while Agah held a Swiss Army knife to the throat of her date to prevent interference. The pair then swapped roles, continuing the attack.

The case was heard at Snaresbrook Crown Court, where both men were found guilty of rape, false imprisonment, and making threats with a knife. Judge Leslie Cuthbert informed the defendants that they would face substantial custodial sentences, with sentencing scheduled for October.

Ahmdzai is believed to have arrived in the United Kingdom in August 2023, reportedly on a small boat crossing. The circumstances surrounding Agah's entry into the country have not been disclosed. Both men were described by the court as treating the victim as an object to be exploited.

Initially, there was a restriction on publicly identifying Agah, but this was later overturned on grounds of public interest. The prosecution argued that naming him served the public’s right to be informed.

Authorities continue to monitor cases involving individuals who enter the UK illegally, particularly where serious crimes are concerned. The sentencing in this case aims to reflect the severity of the offenses committed against the victim.
