Pakistani security forces killed 21 militants, including four local ring leaders, during a series of intelligence-driven operations in the country’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to a military statement released Saturday. The operations took place in the Miran Shah and North Waziristan districts, areas known for militant activity.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military, confirmed that the targeted individuals were involved in numerous attacks against security personnel and civilians. The statement did not disclose further details about casualties among security forces or the exact timing of the operations.

These actions are part of ongoing efforts by Pakistani authorities to dismantle militant networks operating in the region, where armed groups have frequently challenged state control. The military has stepped up counterterrorism measures in recent years to restore stability in these volatile border districts.
