At 83 years old, Sir Michael Palin is embarking on a UK tour to accompany his latest television series, *Michael Palin in the Philippines*. The former Monty Python member will share stories and experiences from his travels, including visits to remote islands in the South China Sea, an area known for maritime tensions involving Chinese coastguards.
The tour is set to begin on October 7 in Newbury, Berkshire, and will comprise 13 dates across the country. Palin has expressed enthusiasm for engaging with audiences in a live setting, noting that his journeys often yield anecdotes and insights that do not make it into the televised episodes. He hopes the live presentations will give attendees a sense of traveling alongside him.
This tour continues Palin’s longstanding tradition of combining travel documentaries with personal storytelling, offering viewers and audiences an intimate look at diverse cultures and landscapes around the world.
