Palou holds a commanding lead in the championship standings with 607 points ahead of next weekend’s season finale at Laguna Seca in California. His nearest rival, Christian Lundgaard, trails by 100 points, making Palou the clear favorite to clinch the title.

The driver’s performance throughout the season has been notably consistent. Prior to the Milwaukee event, Palou finished fifth in the regularly scheduled race at the same venue. Over the past two seasons, he has avoided consecutive finishes outside the top 10 in 33 races, underscoring his steady competitiveness. His recent 20th-place finish at the Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, D.C., marked only the third time in two years that he has finished 20th or worse.
