The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) announced that the summer training program in Kuwait’s private sector will offer 1,711 vacancies across 79 companies, according to Nasser Al-Humaidhi, Deputy Director General for Labor Affairs at PAM. The training period is scheduled to start on July 1 and continue through the end of August.
The initiative attracted 3,217 applicants, with 1,533 individuals accepted to participate. Registration for the program was open from April 24 to June 11. The program aims to support Kuwaiti nationals by providing practical work experience in various private sector fields, including banking, retail, insurance, cooperative societies, telecommunications, law, and manufacturing.
Al-Humaidhi emphasized that the summer training program aligns with national efforts to regulate the labor market and enhance the participation of Kuwaiti citizens in private enterprises. Since its inception in 2004, the program has trained over 12,000 students across multiple industries.
Eligibility criteria require applicants to be Kuwaiti citizens enrolled in one of the following educational levels: third and fourth-year university students, second-year students in colleges or institutes with study periods not exceeding two years, or students in grades 11 and 12. Additionally, applicants must not be registered with the Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS) and must have completed at least half of their required coursework. Participants are expected to attend training sessions during designated morning or evening hours throughout the program duration.
