Officials from the Papun District Department of Rural Development conducted an inspection on September 9 to assess the progress of the Mya Sein Yaung (MSY) Village Project in Ward 4 Village, Kamamaung. The project is overseen by the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development.
The inspection team, led by District Head U Khin Maung Win and Assistant Director Daw Thet Thet Mar, visited the site to review project activities and meet with members of the MSY Village Project Committee. The officials examined the implementation status, checked the completeness and accuracy of accounting documentation, and confirmed compliance with the project handbook. During the visit, they offered guidance and instructions to support effective project management.
According to the Papun District Department of Rural Development, the MSY Village Project has extended loans totaling 46 million kyats to 79 committee members in Ward 4 Village. The loans carry a low interest rate of 0.5 percent (50 pyas). Recipients include 11 individuals involved in agricultural activities, 38 in livestock breeding, and 30 in trading enterprises.
The initiative aims to foster economic development within rural communities by offering accessible financing options to support local livelihoods. This inspection was part of ongoing oversight measures to ensure the project's smooth operation and alignment with established guidelines.
