Paramount Skydance has unveiled its new executive leadership team as it prepares to operate under the soon-to-be finalized merger with Warner Bros. Discovery. The $111 billion merger, expected to close Tuesday, will dissolve Warner Bros. Discovery’s existing corporate structure and create a combined media entity burdened with more than $80 billion in debt.

David Ellison, Chief Executive of Paramount Skydance, announced a leadership lineup that integrates senior executives from Warner Bros. alongside Paramount veterans. Notable Warner Bros. figures joining the Skydance team include HBO Chair Casey Bloys, who will serve as co-chair and chief content officer of Skydance’s direct-to-consumer streaming divisions. Discovery streaming executive J.B. Perrette is set to become co-chair and chief business officer for Skydance TV and streaming platforms. Additionally, DC Comics co-chairs James Gunn and Peter Safran will continue overseeing DC Studios under the new structure.

From Paramount, George Cheeks, the CBS chief who joined the company last year, will assume the role of co-chair and chief content officer for Skydance TV, which encompasses network television and entertainment cable channels from both entities. Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein, Skydance film executives currently leading Paramount Pictures, will co-chair the newly expanded Skydance Motion Picture Group, which now also includes Warner Bros. film operations.

Several key executives already within Skydance are transitioning to broader roles in the new organization. Andy Gordon, a former Goldman Sachs banker, will be president of Skydance. Dennis Cinelli remains chief financial officer, while Makan Delrahim, who led Paramount’s regulatory strategy, retains his position as chief legal officer and also takes on the role of president of global corporate affairs. Dane Glasgow, previously a Facebook vice president, joins as chief product officer, and Rebecca Mall, with prior experience at Google and William Morris, becomes chief marketing officer. Melissa Zukerman continues as chief communications officer. All report directly to Ellison and Ynon Kreiz, former Mattel CEO, who took on the role of co-chief executive at Skydance earlier this week.

Amid these changes, CBS News editor in chief Bari Weiss will maintain her current role but will not assume any position within the larger CNN Worldwide operation, which remains overseen by CNN Chair Mark Thompson. This arrangement aims to stabilize the CNN newsroom following recent internal upheaval.

The merger results in the departure of several high-level Warner executives, including CEO David Zaslav, Chief Financial Officer Gunnar Wiedenfels, and Warner Bros. studio heads Mike DeLuca and Pam Abdy, who were informed late last week they would not be part of the merged company. Cindy Holland, a prominent Paramount executive, also resigned last week to clear the path for Bloys to steer the merged company’s streaming content programming.

The newly formed company has pledged to release a full list of its executive leadership following the completion of the merger.
