A family was left surprised when their pet cat, Wilbur, returned home with bright blue fur. The tabby, normally grey, black, and white, had inadvertently become the center of attention after attending a neighbor’s gender-reveal party.

Sophie Jenkin, who works as a general practitioner administrative assistant, explained that the family initially believed Wilbur was a male, naming the cat accordingly. They were concerned that the unusual blue coloration might have been the result of an intentional paint attack. However, they soon discovered through social media that Wilbur had simply wandered into the celebration and rolled around in blue dye used for the event.

Jenkin described the incident as a source of amusement for both her family and colleagues, noting that the situation had led to widespread laughter. “We have not stopped laughing since. It’s so funny. Everyone at home and at work is cracking up. But all was well in the end,” she said.

Wilbur’s fur has since been cleaned, restoring the cat’s natural tones, and the animal is now back to its original appearance.
