A Tudor-style mansion in Pasadena, California, famously known as the filming location for Batman’s Wayne Manor in the 1960s television series, is currently listed for sale at $32 million. The 19,000-square-foot residence, located on South San Rafael Avenue, previously sold for $20.8 million in 2025 and has returned to the market offering prospective buyers a rare opportunity to own a piece of Hollywood history.

Built in the 1920s, the grand home features seven bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, leaded-glass windows, turrets, a slate roof, and a sizable home theater. Its distinctive architectural style resembles that of a 17th-century castle. The mansion gained its Hollywood significance as the external representation of Wayne Manor in the 120-episode Batman series that aired from 1966 to 1968, starring Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin.

Beyond the Batman series, the property has appeared in several well-known productions, including the films “Stand By Me,” “Rush Hour,” and “Bridesmaids,” as well as the television show “Murder She Wrote.”

Real estate experts caution that the initial price tag only represents part of the financial commitment required to maintain such a property. Ritu Kant Ojha, CEO of Dubai-based Proact Luxury Real Estate, estimated the annual costs of upkeep—including property taxes, insurance, utilities, security, and staffing—could range from $300,000 to $600,000. “Owning a home of this size requires significant, ongoing expenses, and they do not stop,” Ojha said.

Ojha also highlighted potential privacy concerns for buyers. Due to the mansion’s fame, new owners should expect constant attention from fans and media, as the residence often features in public listings and popular culture references. “Purchasing a famous home means giving up anonymity,” Ojha noted.
