A new immersive experience based on the acclaimed television series Peaky Blinders is set to open in London this August, offering fans an interactive journey into the world of the Shelby family. Titled Peaky Blinders Underworld, the event draws upon the Steven Knight-created crime drama, which chronicles the rise of the notorious Tommy Shelby, portrayed by Cillian Murphy, as he strives to expand his criminal empire in 1919 Birmingham.
The live experience promises to transport visitors into key locations from the series, including Garrison Lane, Chinatown, and the Small Heath fairground. Attendees will engage in gameplay, live entertainment, and actor-led encounters, challenging them to determine whether they possess the skills to become part of the Peaky Blinders gang. Steven Knight described the venue as more than a simple recreation, emphasizing it as a broader destination where fans can interact socially with the story and characters through new perspectives.
Meanwhile, the biographical film Michael, depicting the life of pop icon Michael Jackson, has achieved historic box office success, becoming the highest-grossing biopic of all time. Globally, the film has amassed $977 million (£739 million), surpassing the previous record held by Christopher Nolan’s 2023 Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer.
Starring Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s nephew, in the titular role, the film focuses on Jackson’s career trajectory from his early days with the Jackson 5 to his status as a solo music legend.
