Perrie Edwards and footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain recently celebrated their wedding in Portugal, marking an emotional and memorable occasion for the couple. According to Edwards, the ceremony was deeply moving, with the footballer visibly overcome with emotion upon seeing his bride.

Edwards, a member of the pop group Little Mix, described how Oxlade-Chamberlain, typically not prone to tears, broke down shortly after she entered the church. She recalled both being moved to tears as they faced each other at the altar, an intimate moment she said she would never forget. “I’ve never experienced a room so full of love,” Edwards remarked.

The wedding took place in front of approximately 140 guests, including Edwards’ Little Mix bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, as well as professional footballers Mason Mount and Danny Welbeck. Notably, Pinnock and Thirlwall departed shortly after the exchange of vows to attend professional commitments; Thirlwall left to perform at a festival in Barcelona, while Pinnock remained until late in the evening.

The ceremony was also attended by Oxlade-Chamberlain and Edwards’ children, Axel and Alanis. Edwards shared that her infant daughter, just five months old at the time, was present in a special dress. The musical element was a highlight of the event, with a sextet performing at the church service, followed by a 16-piece band featuring a full brass section during the reception. Edwards expressed a desire to make music central to the celebration.

For the evening festivities, Edwards changed from her wedding dress into a second outfit, which she described as “short, fun and fab” with a corset-style fit, allowing her to enjoy the dancing alongside guests.

The couple’s wedding reflected a blend of intimate family moments and lively celebration, underscored by strong emotional connections and a shared appreciation for music.
