The UAE Fuel Price Committee has announced an increase in retail prices for petrol and diesel effective September 2026. The new rates show a significant rise in fuel costs compared to the previous month.

Super 98 petrol will now be sold at Dh8.30 per litre, marking a substantial jump from Dh3.60 per litre in August. Special 95 petrol prices have also increased, reaching Dh3.69 per litre, up from Dh3.49 in the previous month. Meanwhile, E-Plus petrol will be priced at Dh3.61 per litre, compared to Dh3.41 in August.

Diesel prices have risen as well, moving up to Dh4.30 per litre from Dh3.80 the month before.

The committee’s adjustment in fuel pricing reflects ongoing market dynamics and prevailing global energy trends, which influence local pricing strategies. These revised rates will affect consumer costs and could have broader implications for transportation and logistics expenses within the United Arab Emirates.
