Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ) held its Oath-Taking and Investiture Ceremony 2026 on October 8 at Arbab Hall, formally recognising student leaders from various sections of the school. The event brought together representatives from the Kindergarten, Primary, Girls, Boys, and Cambridge Wings, marking an important tradition in the school calendar that celebrates leadership, discipline, and community service among students.

A total of 319 members of the Students’ Council participated in the ceremony, pledging to uphold the values and traditions of PISQ throughout the academic year. The programme began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by M Ashman, a Grade 7 student, followed by the national anthems of Pakistan and Qatar. The ceremony was hosted by Vania Ahmed and Maryum Ali from the Girls Wing, who guided the proceedings with professionalism.

During the event, attendees learned about the structure and responsibilities of the Students’ Council and the school’s House System, underscoring the significance of teamwork, healthy competition, and student engagement. The investiture segment proceeded wing by wing, where 44 office bearers received their sashes. The Kindergarten and Primary Wings presented their House Captains, while the Girls, Boys, and Cambridge Wings honoured their House Captains, Heads, Deputies, and Senior Prefects.

The formal oath-taking signified the newly appointed leaders’ commitment to fulfilling their roles with integrity, dedication, and responsibility. The ceremony also featured the presentation of the House Championship Trophies for the 2025-2026 academic year, with Kirthar House named Champion and House K2 as the runner-up. These awards recognised the collective efforts and participation of students during the past year.

Event manager Azmina Saheef coordinated the ceremony, ensuring smooth collaboration among the various school wings and support teams. Preparatory rehearsals took place on October 6 and 7 at Arbab Auditorium, focusing on stage movements, seating arrangements, the investiture process, oath protocols, and participant coordination. Technical and operational teams provided assistance with sound management, photography, videography, live streaming, and hall arrangements.

Principal Muhammad Afzal closed the programme with an address emphasising the role of leadership, discipline, commitment, and service in developing responsible and confident students. He highlighted that student leadership is more than holding titles; it demands exemplary conduct, cooperation, and a readiness to serve others.

Through this annual ceremony, PISQ continues to foster leadership skills, accountability, and a spirit of community service among its students, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing principled and confident young individuals prepared to contribute positively to society.
