Dr. Alexander Aslani, a plastic surgeon known for his work with British reality television personalities, was fatally shot at his clinic in Marbella on Wednesday evening. The 57-year-old was reportedly attacked at close range by a masked gunman inside his Cirumed clinic at approximately 5:40 p.m. local time.

According to witnesses, the assailant fired up to three shots, striking Aslani multiple times in the head while patients were present. The attacker then fled the scene, initially reported to have escaped on a scooter. Authorities are investigating the possible involvement of an accomplice and a getaway vehicle.

Aslani, a German-born surgeon with over 30 years of experience, had been operating in Spain since 2007, when he relocated from the United Kingdom. He was a consultant at several UK hospitals—London, Manchester, and Birmingham—before running Cirumed alongside his wife Jeannine, with whom he had two children. The clinic served an extensive clientele, with approximately 70 percent of patients traveling from Britain for cosmetic procedures.

The surgeon’s patient base included a number of well-known figures from British reality TV. Former “The Only Way Is Essex” star Chloe Sims publicly praised Aslani in 2018 following a Brazilian butt lift procedure, expressing satisfaction on social media. Other clients associated with Aslani include Love Island’s Hannah Elizabeth, model Tracy Kiss, former “Celebrity Big Brother” contestant Chloe Khan, and models Chloe Ferry and Chloe Saxon.

While Aslani garnered positive feedback from some patients, his practice was not without controversy. In a High Court case brought by influencer Paulina Sobierajska, she claimed to have undergone three corrective surgeries after initial procedures with the surgeon and advised others against seeking treatment from him. There is, however, no indication that Sobierajska was connected to the circumstances surrounding his death.

Shortly before the shooting, Aslani is reported to have posted a selfie with colleagues, appearing in good spirits. Authorities detained an 18-year-old Swedish national shortly after 6 p.m. on suspicion of involvement in the homicide. Police confirmed the arrest, identifying the individual as the suspected perpetrator of the killing.

Law enforcement continues to investigate the motive behind the attack, including whether it may have been retaliatory in nature, possibly linked to the death of a former patient. Further details have yet to be released as the case remains under active inquiry.
