Plymouth Parkway secured a 3-1 victory over Evesham United on Saturday, extending their strong start to the season in an away fixture in Worcestershire. Striker Rocky Neal played a pivotal role, scoring twice, including a remarkable long-range lob that sealed the win.

Evesham began the match brightly and created early opportunities, with Sopuru Obieri and Brandon Liggett both coming close to scoring. However, Parkway’s goalkeeper Aaron Dearing was on hand to make a crucial double save, preserving the visitors’ clean sheet in the opening stages.

Parkway took the lead in the 26th minute when a free-kick delivery found Reece Thomson, who nodded the ball down for Joel Sullivan to finish. The visitors nearly doubled their advantage before halftime when Callum Hall unleashed a long-range effort, but it was Neal who made the score 2-0 early in the second half. The former Truro City and Taunton Town forward met a Will Sullivan cross with a headed finish eight minutes after the interval.

Evesham mounted a response shortly after the hour mark when Jyrel Bojang converted a free-kick following a well-executed set-piece routine, reducing the deficit to one goal. Their hopes of a comeback were ended in the 75th minute when Neal capitalized on a goalkeeper positioning error, lobbing Evesham’s Oscar Varney from approximately 45 yards out.

The three points lift Plymouth Parkway into second place in the standings, trailing early leaders Uxbridge by three points. The victory highlights Parkway's continued momentum as they seek to challenge for promotion this season.
