Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, met with France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noel Barrot, on Monday at the Burgenstock Resort in Switzerland to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

During the meeting, the two officials reviewed the state of cooperation between Qatar and France and explored opportunities to further enhance their partnership. The discussions also focused on recent diplomatic initiatives in the region, with particular attention given to efforts surrounding the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized Qatar’s full support for the ongoing dialogue between the U.S. and Iran, expressing optimism that these negotiations will yield lasting solutions to long-standing issues through peaceful means. He highlighted that such diplomatic progress is essential for advancing security and stability across the region.

The Qatari minister underscored the broader benefits of the talks, noting that successful negotiations could foster deeper regional security and promote cooperation, development, and prosperity for the peoples of both the Middle East and beyond.
