Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, engaged in a series of high-level meetings on Monday during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The discussions involved a range of foreign ministers and leading figures in the global business community.

Among the diplomatic engagements, Sheikh Mohammed met separately with several foreign ministers, including HE Roberto Velasco of Mexico, HE Anita Anand of Canada, HE Constantinos Kombos of Cyprus, HE Margus Tsahkna of Estonia, and HE Beate Meinl-Reisinger of Austria. These conversations focused on strengthening bilateral ties, exploring cooperation opportunities, and addressing regional and international matters of shared interest.

In addition to his diplomatic meetings, Sheikh Mohammed held discussions with prominent business leaders. He met with Ruth Porat, President and Chief Investment Officer of Alphabet and Google, where the two exchanged views on potential areas for collaboration and broader strategic interests. The Prime Minister also conferred with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, with both parties reviewing ongoing partnerships and discussing topics of mutual concern.

These engagements underscore Qatar’s efforts to deepen political and economic relationships across regions, while fostering dialogue on global issues during the ongoing UNGA session.
