Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani, held separate meetings with the foreign ministers of Mexico, Canada, Cyprus, Estonia, and Austria on September 21, 2026. The discussions took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

During these bilateral talks, the officials focused on strengthening cooperation between Qatar and each respective country. They explored opportunities to enhance collaboration across various sectors, emphasizing the need to develop mutual ties further.

Sheikh Mohammed’s engagements with foreign ministers Roberto Velasco of Mexico, Anita Anand of Canada, Constantinos Kombos of Cyprus, Margus Tsahkna of Estonia, and Beate Meinl-Reisinger of Austria reflect Qatar’s ongoing commitment to expanding its diplomatic outreach and fostering dialogue on global challenges during the United Nations gathering.
