Prime Minister Lawrence Wong is set to deliver his National Day message on August 8, marking his third address as prime minister since taking office on May 15, 2024. The announcement was made by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on August 3.

PM Wong, who also holds the position of Finance Minister, will deliver his message in English at 6:45 p.m. on the CNA television channel. The broadcast will also be available on radio stations Money FM 89.3 and CNA938.

Following this, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong will present the National Day message in Mandarin at 7 p.m., which will be aired on Channel 8 and radio station Capital 95.8FM.

Subsequently, Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs and Senior Minister of State for Defence Zaqy Mohamad will deliver the speech in Malay. This broadcast is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on the TV channel Suria.

The final iteration of the message will be in Tamil, delivered by Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth and Manpower Dinesh Vasu Dash. This will be shown at 9 p.m. on TV channel Vasantham and on radio station Oli 96.8FM.

All four language versions of the National Day message will be made available on the PMO’s official website and YouTube channel following their initial airings.
