Authorities imposed a lockdown on Harestanes Road in Armadale, West Lothian, on Saturday following reports of a shooting incident. The response began around midday, prompting a significant emergency deployment in the area.

Police secured the street and deployed forensics teams, who were seen gathering evidence at the scene. Multiple police vehicles, including unmarked cars, were present, and officers were observed standing behind police tape in front of a residential property. An air ambulance landed nearby at Bathville Park, with paramedics also attending the scene.

In addition to the reported shooting, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed receiving a call at 12:33 p.m. from the police regarding a vehicle fire in the Upper Bathville area. Two fire appliances were dispatched to the incident, which remained under police command.

Authorities have not released details concerning any casualties or further developments. Police did not provide a statement when approached for comment. The investigation is ongoing as emergency personnel continue to manage the situation.
