Henry Pollock has committed his future to Northampton Saints by signing a new multi-year contract reportedly worth over £400,000 annually, keeping him at the club until at least the end of the 2028-29 season. The 21-year-old back-row forward, who joined Northampton as an Under-13 player, has significantly increased his salary, roughly tripling his previous earnings at the club.

Pollock’s decision comes despite interest from other domestic and international teams, some offering contracts in excess of seven figures per year. Eddie Hearn, Pollock’s representative and promoter, confirmed that while the player was aware of more lucrative offers, he chose to remain loyal to Northampton. “He left a lot of money on the table to stay with Northampton,” Hearn said, adding that it was not a difficult choice for Pollock.

Pollock, who also receives approximately £150,000 annually from an enhanced England contract valid through the 2024-25 season, has rapidly risen through the ranks since becoming a Saints regular in the 2024-25 campaign. In that season, Northampton reached the Champions Cup final, and Pollock was part of the squad that won the Premiership title last term. Despite having made only one Test start for England and thirteen appearances overall, including a British & Irish Lions tour to Australia, Pollock has become a key figure for both his club and country.

In a statement, Pollock expressed his enthusiasm for staying at Northampton, describing the club as his “boyhood club” and emphasizing the team’s potential for further growth. “We’re in a great spot as a team, but it feels like there’s still so much more growth in us,” he said. He also acknowledged the relatively young composition of the squad and his desire to help the team build on recent successes. “Winning the Champions Cup is another ambition,” he added.

Northampton Saints’ director of rugby, Phil Dowson, praised Pollock's on-field qualities and character. “Everyone has seen the quality he brings on the pitch and the speed of his rise through the game,” Dowson said. “Just as importantly, he’s a young man of outstanding character. Keeping someone with both his talent and mindset is hugely important.” Dowson also noted Pollock’s ability to inspire fans and maintain a high level of professionalism.

While Pollock has previously hinted at the possibility of exploring opportunities abroad or even other sports in the future, his current focus remains firmly with Northampton and England as he aims to contribute to his club’s pursuit of domestic and European glory.
