At 78 years old, Iommi continues to deliver his signature dark, heavy riffs, supported by a group of experienced yet lesser-known musicians, including Norwegian vocalist Jorn Lande. The album is slated for release on October 23 under the BMG label.
Meanwhile, Ministry, the industrial metal band led by frontman Al Jourgensen, announced its disbandment this year after a career spanning four decades. The group’s farewell album, “Hate to Go (Take Out or Delivery),” is due out on October 30 via Cleopatra Records. Known for their aggressive sound and politically charged lyrics denouncing police brutality and American militarism, Ministry’s final tracks, such as “The White Man Lied” and “Burned Out,” continue to reflect Jourgensen’s enduring ire.
In the hip-hop and reggaeton scene, Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko is gearing up to headline her first tour, the Late Checkout tour, beginning November 5 at the Barclays Center. The tour follows the release of her 2025 album, “Do Not Disturb,” which showcased a mix of intimate themes and popular tracks like “Wassup,” featuring a sample from Lil Wayne.
Jazz vocalist Tyreek McDole, 26, plans to release his follow-up album “Chroma” on November 6. Building on his 2025 debut “Open Up Your Senses,” McDole’s latest work spans from reimagined standards to innovative covers of songs by artists including André 3000 and Kendrick Lamar. His project benefits from production by trumpeter Theo Croker and features guitar contributions from Emmanuel Michael.

Saxophonist Joshua Redman is releasing a tribute album titled “If Ever You Would Leave Us (We Play for Rollins)” on November 20 through Blue Note Records. Rising artist Sombr, also known as Shane Michael Boose, known for blending disco-inspired performances with introspective lyrics about love and self-image, will conclude the fall leg of his arena tour with back-to-back shows at Madison Square Garden on November 23 and 24.
