Porsche has unveiled a bespoke version of its 911 Turbo S to mark 75 years of the brand’s presence in Australia, featuring a distinctive design that reflects Australian landscapes and culture. The project, developed by Porsche’s “special wishes” division, incorporates unique aesthetic elements intended to evoke the country’s natural environment.

The car’s exterior melds two custom paint colors: “Southern Cross Blue” on the upper body and “Terra Australia Red” on the lower, creating the impression of a vehicle covered in red dirt under a clear blue sky. The paintwork, applied over 300 hours, aims to replicate the iconic red soil found in many parts of Australia’s interior.

Artist Werner Bronkhorst contributed miniature paintings of native Australian animals and landscapes on various areas of the vehicle, adding further local character. Inside, the cabin includes a roof lining designed to mimic the sky over Uluru, one of Australia’s most renowned natural landmarks. The dashboard features a topographical map of the Blue Mountains region, and silky oak wood trim enhances the interior’s connection to Australian timber.

Porsche Cars Australia managing director Daniel Schmollinger described the vehicle as a demonstration of “what bespoke Porsche design can achieve.” The 911 Turbo S Land Down Under project has a price tag reflecting its extensive customization, reportedly around $2 million, underscoring the exclusivity of this limited-edition homage to the Australian market.
