Power Slap has announced that its upcoming event, Power Slap 25 Presented By Monster Energy, will take place on October 23 at the Space42 Arena in Abu Dhabi. This marks the third consecutive year the slap-fighting organization is hosting a marquee live event in the city. The event will be streamed live and free to viewers worldwide on Power Slap’s YouTube channel.

The main event will feature a super heavyweight title rematch between reigning champion Dayne "Da Hawaiian Hitman" Viernes and challenger Dumpling. Their rivalry dates back to June 2025, when they first clashed at Power Slap 13 during International Fight Week. That initial contest went the distance with Da Hawaiian Hitman securing the title via majority decision.

Since then, Da Hawaiian Hitman has successfully defended his belt, including a notable defense against the No.1 ranked super heavyweight, Makini Manu. Dumpling, a prominent figure in the sport and one of the earliest athletes noticed by Power Slap founder Dana White, enters the rematch after a decisive knockout victory at Power Slap 22 in Serbia against David Zales, another well-regarded slap-fighting competitor.

Frank Lamicella, CEO of Power Slap, emphasized Abu Dhabi’s significance as a combat sports venue and the importance of the heavyweight title fight within the event’s lineup. His remarks highlight the organization’s commitment to bringing high-profile contests to the region during Abu Dhabi Showdown Week.

The co-main event will spotlight a lightweight bout between No.1 ranked Dakota McGregor and No.3 ranked Reiley Montoya. McGregor, a former lightweight title challenger with a 3-2 record including three knockouts, and Montoya are both regarded for their powerful striking and durability. They aim to position themselves as leading contenders to the undefeated lightweight champion Robert Trujillo.

Additional featured fights on the main card include a heavyweight matchup between unbeaten Louis Robinson from the United Kingdom, who holds a 2-0 record with two knockouts and is ranked No.8 in the division, and India’s Jubair Singh, a rising Power Slap star making his mark in the sport. In the middleweight division, Slovakia’s Peter Truchcik, with a 2-1 record and ranked No.5, will face Estonia’s Merlis Muusikus, who has a 2-2 record.

Power Slap 25 is set to further showcase the growing global appeal of slap fighting, combining established athletes and emerging talents within a high-profile international setting.
