Union Minister at the President’s Office U Khin Maung Yi met with Dr. Cordula Droege, Director of International Law, Red Cross Movement and Partnerships at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) headquarters in Geneva, at the President’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw on September 10. The meeting focused on enhancing humanitarian cooperation between Myanmar and the ICRC.

Discussions centered on strategies to improve the systematic and effective delivery of humanitarian assistance within Myanmar. Present at the meeting were the director-general and other officials from the President’s Office, who joined efforts to explore ways to strengthen collaboration with the ICRC.

The dialogue highlighted the ongoing commitment from both sides to support humanitarian operations and ensure adherence to international humanitarian law standards. The meeting underscores the importance placed on continued partnership amid Myanmar’s complex humanitarian needs.
