Presley Gerber, a model and the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died Sunday in Los Angeles at the age of 27. The Santa Monica Police Department is investigating his death as a suspected overdose. According to records from the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office, he passed away at a rehabilitation facility, though no official cause of death has been released. A representative for the family did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Born on July 2, 1999, in Brentwood, California, Gerber emerged in the modeling industry as a teenager during a period when children of prominent 1990s and early 2000s models attracted attention from major fashion brands. At age 15, he signed with IMG Models, a prominent agency representing other high-profile talents. He made his runway debut with Moschino and went on to work with notable brands such as Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana. In 2018, he appeared in a Pepsi commercial aired during the Super Bowl, echoing his mother’s famous 1992 advertisement for the soda company.
