Primark, the international fashion retailer known for offering affordable clothing and everyday essentials, is set to make its debut in Bahrain and Qatar later this year through a partnership with the Alshaya Group. The company announced it will open its first store in Bahrain at City Centre Bahrain on September 23, 2026, followed by the launch of its inaugural Qatari location at Doha Festival City on October 29, 2026.
The new stores aim to bring Primark’s distinctive retail experience, featuring trend-driven fashion, homeware, and beauty products at competitive prices, to a broader customer base in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The openings will be marked by celebratory events, including in-store entertainment, giveaways, and other activities to engage shoppers.
In addition to these new stores, Primark plans to expand its existing footprint in the United Arab Emirates. The retailer will add a second floor to its Mall of the Emirates location in Dubai, scheduled to open in November 2026. This expansion will enhance the store’s menswear and Primark Home collections while increasing product availability and variety across womenswear, kidswear, accessories, and beauty categories.
Ghansham Pindoria, Vice President of Primark Middle East, expressed enthusiasm about the launches, highlighting the brand’s commitment to delivering value and a dynamic shopping environment. “These openings are more than just launching new stores; they’re about creating exciting destinations where customers can discover fashion, beauty and homeware at exceptional value,” he said, acknowledging the anticipation of customers awaiting the brand’s arrival.
Looking forward, Primark’s regional growth is expected to continue into 2027 with further expansion planned in Kuwait and Qatar. A new store is slated to open at Aventura Mall in Kuwait, while a second store in Qatar will debut at Villaggio Mall, reinforcing the retailer’s presence in existing markets and expanding access to its offerings across the GCC.
