Prime Bank PLC and SIMEC Foundation have initiated a year-long educational program aimed at enhancing life skills, hygiene, environmental consciousness, and moral values among students in Bangladesh. The initiative, titled “Building Better Citizens in Bangladesh,” will reach approximately 13,000 students across 64 schools located within all eight administrative divisions of the country.

The program incorporates participatory learning modules that focus on water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), climate change and environmental awareness, as well as moral education and social responsibility. It is designed to promote responsible behavior, strengthen environmental awareness, and instill ethical values among primary and secondary school students.

The memorandum of understanding formalizing the partnership was signed recently at Prime Bank’s headquarters in Dhaka. The agreement was signed by Md Ziaur Rahman, additional managing director and chief risk officer of Prime Bank, together with Foara Yasmin, treasurer of SIMEC Foundation, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

Md Ziaur Rahman emphasized the importance of investing in youth knowledge and values as a foundation for nation-building. He noted that the collaboration reflects Prime Bank’s dedication to empowering young people, fostering values-based education, and supporting the development of sustainable and resilient communities. The initiative underscores the growing focus on holistic education approaches aimed at equipping students with the skills and awareness necessary for active and responsible citizenship.
