Doha – Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, met with Singapore’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and regional stability. The meeting took place in Doha and focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries, as well as addressing ongoing regional challenges.
Both officials reviewed current bilateral ties and explored avenues to enhance collaboration across various sectors. A significant part of their dialogue centered on recent developments in the region, including coordinated diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting security.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasized Qatar’s commitment to supporting diplomatic initiatives designed to uphold freedom of maritime navigation. He also highlighted the importance of these efforts in facilitating a comprehensive agreement that could establish durable peace in the region.
Dr Balakrishnan and Sheikh Mohammed underscored the necessity of multilateral coordination to address complex regional issues, reaffirming their countries’ dedication to fostering stability and constructive engagement. The meeting reflects ongoing dialogue between Qatar and Singapore as part of broader efforts to contribute to peace and security in the Middle East and beyond.
