Several British tennis players are set to compete at Wimbledon this year, each bringing distinct backgrounds and recent successes on grass courts.

Felix Gill, 24, ranked 220th globally, will make his Wimbledon debut. Gill is currently at a career-high ranking following a strong grass-court season, highlighted by a notable victory over fifth seed Hugo Gaston at the Nottingham Open.

Jacob Fearnley, also 24 and ranked 152nd, has previously reached the second round of Wimbledon in 2024. As a junior, Fearnley practiced with Roger Federer and claimed wins against prominent players Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz in junior competitions.

Jan Choinski, the British No. 2 at age 30 and ranked 106th, recently demonstrated impressive form on grass by advancing to the quarter-finals of the Eastbourne Open last week. He reached the Wimbledon second round in 2023.

Jack Draper, 24 and ranked 160th, returns to grand-slam competition following his withdrawal due to injury at last year’s US Open. Draper has reached the second round at Wimbledon three times (2022, 2024, 2025) and was eliminated by Marin Cilic in his most recent second-round appearance.

Cameron Norrie remains the highest-ranked British player in this group, currently 29th in the world and 30 years old. Norrie aims to match his deep run at Wimbledon in 2022 when he reached the semi-finals before losing to Novak Djokovic.

Making their grand-slam main draw debuts at Wimbledon this year are Harry Wendelken, 24, ranked 203rd, who recently qualified for the Queen’s Club tournament; and Toby Samuel, 23, ranked 142nd, who debuted at the French Open earlier this year but was defeated in straight sets by Australian Alex de Minaur.

Other British hopefuls include Arthur Fery, 23 and ranked 118th. Of French descent, Fery reached the junior doubles semi-finals at both the Australian Open and Wimbledon. His mother, Olivia Fery, was also a professional player.

Jack Pinnington Jones, 23 and ranked 145th, will compete after transitioning fully into the professional circuit last year, having previously played collegiate tennis at Texas Christian University. He is a close friend of Draper and has been signed to Andy Murray’s management agency since 2021.

Together, this diverse group represents the next wave of British men seeking to make an impact on the sport’s biggest stage. Their performances at Wimbledon will be closely followed as they aim to build on recent successes and gain valuable experience at the Grand Slam level.
