The hearing is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Suite 850N, 441 4th Street NW, Washington, D.C.

This meeting follows DSLBD Director Rosemary Suggs-Evans’ confirmation that the Adams Morgan Partnership BID has met the necessary filing criteria outlined in the Business Improvement Districts Act of 1996. According to the department, the application complies with relevant regulatory standards, allowing the recertification process to proceed.

The Business Improvement Districts Act, codified as D.C. Official Code § 2-1215.18, governs the establishment and renewal of BIDs within the District, aiming to support community-based economic development efforts. The Adams Morgan Partnership BID serves the Adams Morgan neighborhood, focusing on business promotion, neighborhood improvements, and public safety enhancements.

The public is invited to review the BID application during normal business hours at the Adams Morgan Partnership offices located at 2424 18th Street NW. Additionally, the application and related documents can be accessed online through the DSLBD’s official website.

Community members and other interested parties are encouraged to provide testimony during the hearing. Those wishing to testify are asked to bring copies of their written statements. Further, the DSLBD will accept additional written comments submitted via email to Lincoln.Lashley@dc.gov or by mail to Lincoln Lashley at the DSLBD office, located at 441 4th Street NW, Suite 850N, Washington, DC 20001.

The record for the hearing will remain open for ten business days following the session’s conclusion, closing at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026. Comments received after that time will not be considered.

This recertification process provides an opportunity for the community and stakeholders to engage with the BID’s ongoing efforts to enhance the economic vitality and quality of life in Adams Morgan.
