The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in Oman has invited the public to participate in selecting priority topics for the upcoming fifth edition of the “Together Forward” forum, scheduled to take place throughout the country’s governorates in 2027. Citizens are encouraged to vote on discussion topics via the forum’s official website until October 18.

The annual forum, which rotates across Omani governorates and includes events alternately held alongside the main gathering in Muscat Governorate, serves as a national platform to facilitate dialogue between the government and society. Its purpose is to bolster public engagement and enhance communication on policies and development issues relevant to each region.

Through this initiative, the government seeks to deepen community involvement in shaping the forum's agenda, ensuring that discussions address the specific needs and aspirations of local residents. The expansion of the forum’s reach to various governorates reflects a wider effort to enhance citizen participation in setting policy priorities for the next phase of development.

Participants can register on the Together Forward platform using their permanent address recorded in the Civil Status Register, enabling them to vote on suggested topics or propose new issues they believe warrant discussion. The process is designed to capture a broad range of views and help align the forum’s agenda with the interests of diverse communities.

Results from the public voting will guide the agenda for the forum’s meetings, reinforcing the government’s commitment to incorporating citizen input in future policies and strategies. This approach continues the forum’s tradition of fostering constructive dialogue and collaborative engagement between Oman’s government and its people.
