The Pakistan Welfare Forum Qatar (PWF-Q) joined forces with Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality on September 18, 2026, to conduct a beach-cleaning campaign at Al Wakra Public Beach. This initiative forms part of the Ministry’s ongoing environmental efforts aimed at enhancing community engagement, promoting coastal conservation, and fostering environmental awareness throughout the country.

The campaign targeted the removal of litter, plastic waste, and other debris from the shoreline, underscoring a collective commitment to maintaining cleanliness and protecting marine ecosystems. The PWF-Q delegation included President Qaiser Khan, Dr. Zia Mahmood, Mubashir Nadeem, Sabir Zahoor, Ahmed Ali, Usman Sabir, Nouman Sabir, Abdullah Zia, and Rahib Saqib, who actively took part in the cleanup activities.

In his statement, PWF-Q President Qaiser Khan emphasized the significance of environmental stewardship from an Islamic viewpoint, citing the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that “cleanliness is half of faith.” He expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Municipality’s role in organizing such efforts, which he said helped unite local communities around a shared responsibility to safeguard public health and protect Qatar’s natural environment.

This campaign aligns with the broader sustainability goals outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030, which prioritizes environmental protection alongside social and economic development. Through hands-on participation in environmental projects like the Al Wakra beach cleanup, community groups such as PWF-Q demonstrate ongoing support for these national objectives while promoting a culture of responsible environmental behavior among residents.
