The sixth round of the Zain Premier League in Kuwait concludes on Wednesday with two postponed matches rescheduled to accommodate Qadsia and Al-Arabi’s recent participation in the AFC Challenge League. Both fixtures will take place at Sabah Al-Salem Stadium, with Al-Arabi hosting Fahaheel at 5:30 p.m. followed by Qadsia visiting Al-Shabab at 7:50 p.m.

Qadsia, currently holding nine points from four league matches, aims to build on its recent success after sweeping all three group stage games in the AFC Challenge League to advance to the quarterfinals. Their next continental opponent will be Lebanon’s Ansar in March. Coach Mohammed Ibrahim emphasized the importance of maintaining strong league form to remain in title contention. Qadsia faces Al-Shabab, who have accumulated seven points from five games, but are seeking to halt a recent dip in performance and return to winning ways.

Al-Arabi, which has gathered only three points in four matches, enters a new phase under the leadership of Bosnian coach Darko Nestorovic, who was appointed earlier this week. Nestorovic replaces interim coach Mohammed Abdelnabi, who had taken over on October 10 following the dismissal of Croatian Goran Sablic due to the team’s poor start. Abdelnabi’s stint yielded three draws—against Kuwait Club, Kazma, and Sulaibikhat—before a narrow 3-2 defeat to Jahra.

Supporters of Al-Arabi, nicknamed the Green Castle, are hoping the coaching change will spark improved results and secure the club’s first league victory of the season. Their opponents, Fahaheel, arrive in strong form with nine points from five matches and aim to extend their winning streak to four games by capitalizing on Al-Arabi’s struggles.

As the league progresses, both Qadsia and Fahaheel look to consolidate their positions near the top of the table, while Al-Shabab and Al-Arabi seek to regain momentum and climb the standings.
