Qasr Al Watan, the presidential palace located in Abu Dhabi, has been named among the top 100 global attractions and experiences for 2026, as well as one of the top 100 attractions in Asia, according to rankings released by Trip.com. The recognition is based on visitor reviews and various performance metrics that underscore the palace’s standing as a major cultural and heritage site within the United Arab Emirates.

The palace is renowned for its architectural grandeur, particularly the Great Hall, which features traditional Arabian design elements and boasts one of the world’s largest central domes. Another prominent space is the Spirit of Collaboration chamber, where significant regional meetings occur, including those of the Federal Supreme Council, the Arab League, and the Gulf Cooperation Council. This hall is distinguished by a large chandelier composed of approximately 350,000 crystal pieces.

Visitors to Qasr Al Watan can also tour the Presidential Gifts exhibition, which showcases a collection of diplomatic presents given to UAE leaders during official state visits. Additionally, the Presidential Banquet hall contains an extensive array of over 100,000 pieces of fine silverware. The palace’s library offers more than 50,000 volumes that document the literary and scholarly history of the region.

Cultural programming at the site includes the Military Music Show, held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 2:30 p.m., and the daily Palace in Motion light and sound show at 7:30 p.m., which narrates aspects of the UAE’s past, present, and aspirations for the future.

Qasr Al Watan’s inclusion on these lists highlights the growing international interest in the UAE’s heritage landmarks and the palace’s role in promoting cultural understanding and regional cooperation.
