Qatar’s Candidate Training Center recently marked the graduation of the 15th cohort of its Military Science Diploma programme, a nine-month course designed for university graduates. The ceremony took place under the patronage of HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan al-Thani.
The event was attended by senior military officials, including HE Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, Lt Gen (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed al-Mannai. Also present were Major General (Pilot) Salem Abdullah al-Dosari, Deputy Chief of Staff for Education; Major General (Engineer/Air) Adel Hassan Fakhro, Chief of the Education Authority; and Brigadier General (Dr) Mohammed Abdullah al-Henzab, Commander of the Candidate Training Center.
Over the course of the programme, participants received comprehensive military training that encompassed field exercises, awareness lectures, and joint training activities with various units of the Qatar Armed Forces. The curriculum aimed to enhance both the combat effectiveness and leadership skills of the candidates.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, HE the Chief of Staff presented the graduation certificates to the successful participants, marking their formal completion of the Military Science Diploma. This programme continues to be a key component of Qatar’s efforts to develop a well-trained and capable officer corps within its armed forces.
