The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) has closed two travel and air cargo agencies administratively and deregistered 10 others amid efforts to enhance regulatory compliance within the country’s air transport sector. The actions come after inspection campaigns led by the QCAA’s Air Transport Department to assess adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

The authority announced that these enforcement measures resulted from agencies failing to meet the required standards set forth under the applicable regulatory framework. The closures and deregistrations aim to strengthen oversight and promote lawful operation among travel and air cargo service providers in Qatar.

In its statement, the QCAA underscored its ongoing commitment to rigorous inspection and monitoring activities. The agency urged all travel and cargo agencies to operate strictly within the legal parameters, specifically emphasizing the necessity of obtaining proper licenses prior to conducting any travel or cargo services.

The enforcement actions align with provisions outlined in Article 3 of Law No. (3) of 2025, which governs licensing and operational requirements within the sector. The QCAA warned that it will maintain its regulatory vigilance and continue to implement corrective measures against entities found in violation of the law.
