Qatar has strongly condemned the recent attacks by the Houthi group on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, which resulted in two fatalities, multiple injuries, and damage to infrastructure. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs characterized the incident as a serious violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, posing a direct threat to regional security, civilian safety, and the integrity of air navigation.
In an official statement, Qatar affirmed its unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia and expressed support for any legitimate measures the kingdom undertakes to protect its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. The ministry emphasized that the security of Saudi Arabia is closely linked to Qatar’s own security, as well as to the broader collective security framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Qatar extended condolences to the families of those killed in the attack and wished a swift recovery to those injured. The condemnation reflects ongoing concerns within the region regarding Houthi actions and highlights the interconnected security interests of GCC member states.
