The State of Qatar has issued a strong condemnation of recent attacks by Iran targeting Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. In a statement released on Monday, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the missile strikes against Jordan and the drone attack on the UAE, describing these actions as serious violations of both countries’ sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as breaches of international law and the United Nations Charter.
Qatar's statement expressed concern that Iran’s continued military operations in the region represent a dangerous escalation that could hinder efforts toward de-escalation. The ministry warned that such attacks risk undermining ongoing diplomatic and political initiatives aimed at restoring security and stability in the Middle East.
Qatar called for an immediate cessation of all military actions and urged all parties to refrain from measures that might exacerbate tensions or broaden the conflict. It emphasized the importance of returning to dialogue and negotiations and reiterated support for commitments reached through diplomatic channels.
The Qatari government also reaffirmed its full solidarity with Jordan and the UAE, voicing support for actions taken by both countries to safeguard their sovereignty and national security amid these attacks.
