Mall of Qatar (MoQ) and Qatar Foundation (QF) have formalized a partnership through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at bolstering community initiatives in education, culture, creativity, and social engagement across Qatar. The agreement, signed under QF’s JOOD Privilege Programme, seeks to enhance collaboration and extend the reach of these programs to a broader spectrum of society.
The MoU sets the foundation for joint efforts between the two organizations in planning and executing activities that promote learning, knowledge exchange, and community participation. As part of the partnership, QF will utilize MoQ’s various venues, including the Oasis Stage, to host exhibitions, panel discussions, workshops, student-led initiatives, and research presentations. The mall will support these events by providing technical assistance and communications services.
In addition to physical events, the partnership will promote joint awareness campaigns through different media channels. The MoU also strengthens the JOOD service, a digital platform offering exclusive discounts and benefits to the QF community, which includes students and employees. This collaboration is intended to broaden the range of privileges and engagement opportunities accessible to QF members.
Ali Jassim al-Haidose, director of Logistics Services & Auxiliaries at Qatar Foundation, highlighted the strategic role of the JOOD programme as a platform extending beyond discounts to foster impactful initiatives and meaningful partnerships. He emphasized the intention to develop further community-focused activities that stimulate engagement, knowledge sharing, and societal participation.
Rony Mourani, CEO of Mall of Qatar, noted that education remains a central priority for MoQ, and the MoU marks a significant advance in the mall’s commitment to supporting learning, creativity, and community involvement.
Under the terms of the agreement, both parties will maintain ongoing coordination to ensure sustained development of collaborative projects and events throughout the year. This cooperation aims to contribute to building a knowledge-based, creative, and actively engaged society in Qatar.
