The Qatar International Medical Devices & Healthcare Exhibition & Conference (QMED 2026) will feature an international masterclass titled “Frontiers in Regenerative Medicine” on October 16 in Doha. The event will bring together leading experts to discuss advances in regenerative medicine, longevity science, extracellular vesicles, precision oncology, and other cutting-edge healthcare fields.
The masterclass will run from 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), coinciding with QMED 2026, which takes place from October 14 to 16 under the patronage of Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health. The scientific program is organized in collaboration with the International Anti-Ageing and Regenerative Medicine Organization (IARO) and the Thailand Charter of Health (TCH). It aims to provide healthcare professionals, researchers, and executives access to the latest international expertise and scientific developments in regenerative and precision medicine.
Associate Professor Dr. Kampon Sriwatanakul, president of the Thailand Charter of Health, will lead the masterclass, delivering opening remarks and participating in multiple sessions. Dr. Sriwatanakul highlighted the rapid advancements in fields such as stem cell research, mitochondrial biology, and precision oncology, emphasizing the importance of translating new scientific knowledge into clinical practice. He expressed the goal of fostering international collaboration and experience-sharing, particularly with healthcare professionals in Qatar and the wider region.
The masterclass includes presentations from renowned specialists including Dr. Ron Tan, Dr. Patrick J. Casey, Dr. Nan Zhou, Associate Professor Dr. Pongrama Ramasoota, Prof Dr. Peter Phongphetch, and Dr. Xuefeng Zhang. The agenda will cover topics such as “Longevity Science and the Hallmarks of Ageing,” recent progress in regenerative medicine, extracellular vesicles and cell-free regenerative therapies, chaperone proteins and mitochondrial transplantation, as well as liquid biopsy and molecular biomarkers in precision oncology. An additional session will address Thailand’s Phytotherapy and Phytopharmaceutical Innovation Initiative.
A closing expert panel discussion will provide a platform for specialists to explore emerging trends and future directions in regenerative medicine. Attendees will also have opportunities during networking breaks to engage with speakers and peers, facilitating professional and scientific collaboration.
Salem Al Hajri, scientific advisor for the Qatar International Exhibition for Medical Supplies and Healthcare, noted the significance of hosting this masterclass as part of QMED 2026, citing the participation of distinguished international experts as evidence of Qatar’s commitment to advancing medical knowledge and expertise locally.
The event is expected to draw a diverse audience including endocrinologists, diabetologists, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, researchers, healthcare executives, and students with interests in regenerative medicine, longevity, and advanced healthcare technologies. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
QMED 2026 serves as a comprehensive platform connecting healthcare institutions, medical technology companies, suppliers, investors, and policymakers from Qatar and worldwide. The event anticipates the participation of around 150 companies and institutions and expects to welcome over 20,000 visitors.
