Qatar took part in the Arab coordination meeting held at the Arab League’s General Secretariat headquarters in Cairo on June 8, aimed at advancing preparations for the upcoming 6th Arab-European ministerial meeting. The event brought together permanent delegates from member states to discuss organizational details and collaborative efforts ahead of the summit, which is set to take place in Amman, Jordan, on June 22-23.

The Qatari delegation was led by Sheikh Jassim bin Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad al-Thani, Qatar’s ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States. During the session, participating Arab countries reviewed progress on logistical and substantive arrangements to ensure effective engagement with their European counterparts.

The meeting serves as a platform for Arab and European ministers to address issues of mutual interest across political, economic, and social domains. The preparations in Cairo underscore the region’s focus on strengthening dialogue and cooperation between Arab states and Europe ahead of the ministerial gathering in Amman.
